‘Mash Potato Face’ is a photographic exploration of the shared bond between its artist and his mother. The relationship depicted goes beyond that of traditional parent and child and into friendship; built on shared interests and quality time. The combination of playful portraits and archive images pays homage to a single parent who provides advice and guidance while allowing space for fun and authentic expression of self
